What is the CÉ LA VY matcha?
Our matcha is a high-quality ceremonial Japanese matcha, carefully selected for its taste, color, and texture. It is suitable for drinking with water as well as for making a Matcha Latte.
Where does the matcha come from?
Our matcha is produced in Kagoshima, Japan and is sourced directly from a Japanese supplier specializing in the production of tea and matcha.
How much matcha is in each can?
Each tin contains 30 grams of matcha.
How many cups can you make from one can?
We recommend using our measuring spoons, so a 30g tin is enough for approximately 12 cups.
How do you prepare your matcha?
Sift a spoonful of CÉ LA VY matcha into a bowl, add water using the CÉ LA VY spoon, and whisk thoroughly until a smooth texture and delicate foam are achieved. Then, add water or milk to taste.
A little tip from us: Avoid boiling water, as it may damage the delicate flavor of the matcha.
Do you need a chasen to make matcha?
Not mandatory, but we highly recommend it. A Chasen is a traditional Japanese bamboo whisk that helps mix the powder evenly and create a smoother, foamier matcha.
How is it recommended to store matcha?
Matcha is sensitive to heat, light, humidity, and air. After opening, it is recommended to seal the tin tightly and store it in a cool, dark place, in accordance with the storage instructions on the packaging. We recommend keeping the tin tightly sealed in the refrigerator.
Is there caffeine in matcha?
Yes. Matcha naturally contains caffeine, so you should take that into account if you are sensitive to caffeine.
Can matcha also be used for baking?
Sure! You can incorporate it into cakes, cookies, creams, ice creams, and more. As far as we’re concerned, matcha doesn't end with a cup.
